Josh (JJ) is a valued member of the DBE team, celebrating his 10th year with an award at our DBE rally in 2024. Josh has experience of deafblind people all his life, communicating at a young age with the most complex deafblind people. Josh is DBE’s Head of Training, he is an expert in deafblindness, able to support individuals from the four groups of deafblind people without hesitate with his skills and knowledge. Josh co-ordinates the appropriate co-tutors / assessors to assist with tailor-making our Deafblind Awareness courses and continues to teach Signature Level 2 Communicating and Guiding Course for the last 4 years, with a successful 100% pass rate. Josh is qualified in Train the Trainer, Deafblind Interpreter Guide, BSL 3, Specialist Assessor and is working towards his Braille assessments.
